In July, nine recipients of the inaugural Boss Mares, Inc. grants will be funded a total of $38,500 to pursue their business goals in the Western industry. The grants will fund the dreams of cowgirl entrepreneurs and allow them to call in personalized support where they need it most, providing a targeted leg up in key areas that impact professional success.

Cowgirl entrepreneurs attending the inaugural “Lead the Herd” two-day workshop at the 2024 Art of the Cowgirl in Queen Creek, Arizona, will now receive business and marketing information at no cost due to generous underwriters. The workshops, held Friday, January 19, and Saturday, January 20, celebrate the women who create Western lifestyle businesses and engage in entrepreneurial opportunities to provide a positive atmosphere for women to learn, connect, mentor, support and create a path to follow their business dreams.

In time for end of year giving, Boss Mares, Inc. can officially announce that the organization has been assigned charitable status by the Internal Revenue Service. While many seek to aid others in the Western industry, charitable 501(c)(3) status allows for giving that supports the organization while offering the donor tax benefits. Charitable donations will further the Boss Mares, Inc. goal of providing workshops and grants to female business owners and entrepreneurs in the Western industry.

Success breeds success and learning from fellow women business owners will only provide a leg up to cowgirl entrepreneurs attending the inaugural “Lead the Herd” two-day workshop at the 2024 Art of the Cowgirl in Queen Creek, Arizona, as they hear from Jody Brooks, owner of J.W. Brooks Custom Hats,  and also from Jessie Jarvis, founder of Of The West, during the Boss Mares, Inc. Lunch-and-Learns.
